A winter highlight, the 2024 Festival features brilliant locals and inspiring guests, performing classical music, jazz, opera, musical theatre and more over 8 magical days in August, plus a very special Festival Encore performance. 

ARTISTS include:

  • Stage and screen star Ben Mingay, with Heather Price and Sue Carson

  • Nexas Quartet 

  • Simon Tedeschi in concerts with violinist Cedar Rose Newman and with jazz violinist George Washingmachine 

  • Genevieve Dickson and Iain Henderson sing Mahler’s Song of the Earth

  • Ben Caukwell, Angela Hogan, and Eden Shifroni present Opera Cocktails at Stanley Park

  • Festival Choir with pianists Peter Guy and Erin Sweetman

  • Dungeon Big Band celebrating Newcastle in a composition by trumpeter Andy Fiddes, who also appears in recital with David Drury, organist.

  • Christ Church Camerata and Erin Sweetman perform the Rachmaninoff Paganini Rhapsody


In his only NSW appearance, we feature special guest, Roderick Williams, who sang at the 2023 Coronation.
