HIRING DETAILS

1. The first is step in booking Wheeler Place is to contact Alison Lobb on (02) 4974 2165, or send a fax to (02) 4974 2172, or email alobb@ncc.nsw.gov.au regarding availability. A pencil booking will be made at this point. You will then receive a Wheeler Place booking form to be completed and faxed back as soon as possible.

2. A Venue Hiring Licence will then be issued with the relevant clauses pertaining to your event (the contract).

3. Your booking is confirmed when we receive your signed copy of the Venue Hiring Licence and the security deposit (if required). You must also return the relevant documentation in relation to your production and any ticket sales requirements by the specified dates. Depending on the nature of your event, there may be contractual duties to be carried out prior to the event These will be stated in the Licence.

 VEHICLE ACCESS TO WHEELER PLACE

New bollards restricting vehicular access to Wheeler Place will shortly be installed by Newcastle City Council. Vehicles requiring access to Wheeler Place for licensed events will require parking authorisation. Please contact the Civic Precinct Administration on either 4974 2166 or email admin@civicprecinctnewcastle.com.au to arrange this.

 

Access will in most instances only be provided for vehicles associated with Civic Precinct event activity or building maintenance & repair work. All access is via Christie St which is between the Civic Theatre and City Hall.
