8th annual ‘Whole Lotta Love’ celebration of LED ZEPPELIN
presented by CCEntertainment
"Whole Lotta Love" has become an institution in Sydney, having sold out every concert since 2003. On Saturday 11 September this spectacular one-off Concert Event is coming to Newcastle and Civic Theatre for the first time.
This world class concert brings together 20 of Australia's finest Rock artists to recreate the pure excitement, energy and passion that was Led Zeppelin. It's been 30 years since the untimely death of legendary drummer John Bonham (Sept 25, 1980) forced the disbanding of one of the most renowned and loved international rock bands of all time, yet their music remains timeless.
Featuring 7 superb guest vocalists; John Swan (Swanee), Danny Marx Young, Dave Gleeson (Screaming Jets), Steve Balbi (Noiseworks), Simon Meli (Ooh La La), Ngaiire (ex Blue King Brown) and Zkye.
They will reinterpret, rework and sensationally recreate over 20 of the finest rock songs ever recorded, including 'Black Dog', 'Rock and Roll', 'Immigrant Song', 'Battle Of Evermore', 'Moby Dick', 'Kashmir' and the timeless 'Stairway To Heaven', delivering over 2½ hours of Zeppelin magic with brilliant staging, Big screen visuals, lighting and sound.
An exceptional, soaring powerhouse 12 piece band, under the creative direction of Joseph Calderazzo (Guitars), including Peter Northcote (Guitars), Gordon Rytmeister (Drums), Greg Royal (Bass), Charmaine Ford (Keys), Tony Azzopardi (Percussion) and the 'Sydney Lyric Strings', will bring it on home.
Formed in 1968, Led Zeppelin became one of the biggest bands in the world yet toured Australia only once in 1972. They produced nine studio albums, three live albums and have sold a staggering 200+ million albums worldwide. Zeppelin influenced generations of musicians and legions of fans, and still do... Rolling Stone Magazine referred to them as "unquestionably one of the most enduring bands in rock history" while listeners in a 2010 UK radio poll of all time Rock favourites voted #1 Stairway to Heaven, #4 Whole Lotta Love, and #7 Rock and Roll.

‘I'll be singing the songs not as a cheap imitation, but as a wild celebration!' - Dave Gleeson
